Research, Development, Modification, Service and Maintenance

Our group believed in investing in the research and development of more efficient and effective methods and machines for pipe jacking. These are developed together with our Taiwanese partners via shared information and the study of the methods employed and the machines used in each type of environment and how these could be improved.

Trainings are identified for our operators to ensure that additional skills and knowledge are gained through understudy with experienced operations from our partners in particular problem solving skills etc.

Once a more effective and efficient method or machine is identified, this is then routed to our modification and service and maintenance team to put in place the necessary for the next pipe jacking activity.

Service and maintenance is mainly catering for the modification, service and maintenance of our group and those of our Taiwan partners’ TBM machines. Since its more cost effective to do modifications due to lower material and labour cost, our partners send their TBM machines to Malaysia for modifications, fabrication and installation for an improved TBM machines. These machines are then returned to Taiwan once it is tested to be put in service.

In addition, local TBM machines requiring regular service and maintenance are handled by our maintenance team. This team are regularly sent to exhibition, overseas and other sites to improved their knowledge and understanding of the development in TBM machines in particular the main manufacturer of TBM machines.
