Mr Tan started his career as a Machine Operator from 2013, where he undergone rigorous training by an experienced Taiwanese Superintendent, operating Japanese made TBM machines of various sizes from 225, 300, 375, 450, 525. He was a fast learner and within two years, he was able to understand the operation of a TBM machine. From there onwards, he was able to assemble, fabricate, and modified TBM machine.

Mr Tan joined UME Builders Sdn Bhd as their TBM Maintenance Superintendent, responsible for the Company’s TBM machines (size from 225mm to 900mm) regular service and maintenance, performance modifications, parts fabrications, overall assembly from ground zero to complete operating machine.

Mr Tan is also given the responsibility together with Mr Ong to provide training for our team of apprentices to better understand our TBM machines, as well as how to troubleshoot when our machines breaks down.
